Islamic teacher gunned down in southern Thailand
An Islamic religious teacher was killed in a shooting on Wednesday morning in southern Thai province of Pattani.The victim, identified as Humaidee Musaw, worked at the Islam Community Foundation School in Nong Chik district. He was traveling alone from his home as usual but assailants on a motorcycle followed him and then opened fire. The victim's car crashed into a house, damaging the vehicle and house. Humaidee was seriously injured and was sent to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Police are investigating and suspect separatist Also on Wednesday morning, a special forces unit on patrol in Yala province was caught in a bomb ambush.
