Egypt Tanks Cross Fence Leading to Gaza
[An Nahar] Two Egyptian army tanks crossed an initial border fence leading to Gazoo for the first time on Thursday, witnesses said, but did not enter the Paleostinian territory itself.
Um. Oh dear. This is not a good sign.
Gazoo's Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, rulers neither confirmed nor denied the incursion, but said no Egyptian tanks had entered the besieged Strip.

The tanks "crossed the first Egyptian border fence along the corridor between Egypt and (Gazoo), and drove along the road running next to the cement wall" that Egypt built, the witnesses told Agence La Belle France Presse.

They said it was the "first time Egyptian tanks have been in this area, although they didn't cross into the Paleostinian side," adding that soldiers on top of the tanks had masked faces.
Oooh, masked faces. Ya don't see much of that in Gaza...
A front man for Gazoo's Hamas government, Ihab al-Ghassin, told AFP that no Egyptian tanks had crossed onto the Israeli-blockaded territory.

Hamas' interior ministry front man Islam Shahwan said the movement's "security forces denied entry to any Egyptian tanks," but gave no further details.
Suuuuure they did...
Twin boom-mobile blasts on Wednesday targeting Egypt's army killed at least six soldiers in Rafah on the border with Gazoo.

The Rafah border crossing -- the only gateway into the Paleostinian enclave that bypasses Israel -- was shut and all roads in and out of the town closed as armed forces combed the area for suspects.
