One more held over Ctg blast
[Bangla Daily Star] Police juggedKeep yer hands where we can see 'em, if yez please! another person yesterday for his suspected link with the blast at Jamaatul Ulum Al Islamia Madrasa, run by Hefajat leader Mufti Izharul Islam, in the city's Lalkhan Bazar on Monday. Acting on a tip off, police intercepted a Dhaka-bound bus at the City Gate around 7:00am and rounded up Shakhawat alias Salauddin, aged about 22, said AFM Nizam Uddin, additional superintendent of Hathazari police. The arrestee had several injury marks on his body, which police suspected were sustained during the blast. The youth claimed himself to be a student of Mekhal Madrasa in Hathazari, but police after primary investigation found that the information was wrong, added Nizam. Law enforcers have so far arrested 11 people in connection with the blast at the madrasa that left two students dead and several injured. Three cases have been filed in this regard.
