Abdul Hai Siddique Bulbul, 35, secretary general Jamaat's Newtown Union unit, was struck down in his prime as the assailants shot him in his head around 7:45pm, Emdadul Haque Sheikh, officer-in-charge, of Kotwali police Station, told The Daily Star.

Witnesses said the victim was working at his cyber café near his house when he came under attack.
