MQM accuses JI of harbouring, aiding terrorists
 [Pak Daily Times] Jamaat-e-Islami... The Islamic Society, founded in 1941 in Lahore by Maulana Sayyid Abul Ala Maududi, aka The Great Apostosizer. The Jamaat opposed the independence of Bangladesh but has operated an independentbranch there since 1975. It maintains close ties with international Mohammedan groups such as the Moslem Brotherhood. the Taliban, and al-Qaeda. The Jamaat's objectives are the establishment of a pure Islamic state, governed by Sharia law. It is distinguished by its xenophobia, and its opposition to Westernization, capitalism, socialism, secularism, and liberalist social mores... Pakistain should be banned at least for now, due to the party's links with Taliban, al Qaeda, and several other outlawed organizations that are working against the country. The party should be tried as per Article 6 of the Constitution of Pakistain. Speaking on the occasion, Hussain reminded about JI's opposition to the creation of Pakistain, and that the founder of this party had pronounced Jinnah an infidel and the country, the land of impure. He warned that discriminatory policies of the government, administration and establishment could create disunity and a crisis. "Unfortunately, our security forces have made this party their B-team, and hence they carry out subversive activities in collusion with anti-state elements," said MQM chief Hussain. The party chief often accused of treating Karachi as his 'turf', he asked why were the leaders supporting these terrorists?
