Navy captain survives car-bomb assassination attempt in Benghazi
[Libya Herald] A senior navy officer survived an liquidation attempt in Benghazi this morning when his car went kaboom! while he was having coffee.
Captain Khaled Bazama had parked his in downtown Benghazi after taking his children to school when the kaboom occurred. No one was injured in the blast.
The front man for Benghazi Joint Security Room, Ibrahim Shara, confirmed the attempt to the Libya Herald . "The kaboom took place in Al-Sharif Street in south Benghazi's Sidi Akhraibish area at 9:30 am," he said.
