Nigeria Boko Haram member jailed over Christmas bomb attack
[Al Ahram] A Nigerian court sentenced a member of Islamist group Boko Haram... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality... to life imprisonment on Friday for his involvement in bombings including a 2011 Christmas Day attack on a Catholic church near the capital that killed 37 people. The bad boy group Boko Haram grabbed credit for the bombing of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Madalla, on the outskirts of Abuja, which also maimed 57 in the deadliest of a series of attacks at Christmas.
