Infighting between Gov’t troops in Hiran region
Reliable news sources from Beledweyne, the capital town of Hiran region confirmed to us that two sets of troops who belong to the federal Gov’t fought against each other at a kalabayar Junction which is a residential town located 25 km away from the capital.

The early morning infighting between the troops was caused by the controversy on who is in charge of a check point at the junction of the Kalabayar junction.

At least two soldiers have sustained injuries during the 30 minutes confrontations between the government troops. However, Ethiopian troops based at Kalabayar town intervened and stopped the infighting.

The situation of the small town is reported to be calm as for now.
