S'ganj AL leader hacked to death
[PRIMENEWS.BD] Sirajganj: A local Awami League leader was hacked to death by unidentified miscreants in Sadar upazila on Monday afternoon.The dear departed was identified as Saiful Islam, 40, sports secretary of the ruling party's Sadar upazila unit and son of Abdul Gafur of Baoitara village. Police said a gang of miscreants swooped on Saiful in front of his house around 4:30pm. The attackers chopped the Awami League leader indiscriminately, leaving him dead on the spot. On information, Sirajganj Police Super SM Emran Hossain and local AL leaders rushed to the spot. Following the killing, the houses of local Jamaat and BNP leaders came under attack.
