2 Hindu housewives gang-raped
[PRIMENEWS.BD] Two Hindu housewives have been gang-raped at Hajrali Hrishipara in Manirampur upazila on Tuesday night.Police rescued the tortured housewives on Friday morning and sent them to Jessore General Hospital for medical examinations. Family members of the victims and police said a gang of armed miscreants stormed into the house of Hajra Das in the early hours of Thursday and tied up him and his son, Uttam Das, with a rope. Later, the criminals took turns to rape Uttam's wife and sister. The victims did not initially report the crime fearing reprisals and social stigma, but they finally lodged cases with the police on Friday. Describing the brutality, Hajra Das said the miscreants gang-raped his daughter and daughter-in-law at gunpoint before their eyes.
