Khaleda softens stance, backs off from vigorous programmes
[Dhaka Tribune] BNP chief  Three-term PM of Bangla, widow of deceased dictator Ziaur Rahman, head of the Bangla Nationalist Party, an apparent magnet for corruption ... softened her stance on the anti-government campaign apparently to give a positive impression of the 18-party alliance to people and the international community. After a nerve-racking street agitation for two and a half months, Khaleda yesterday announced a series of fresh programmes, including demonstration and procession, much to the relief of the common mass.
