Hindu idols damaged in Barisal, Sylhet
[Dhaka Tribune] Unidentified miscreants damaged seven idols of Hindu Gods and Goddesses in Barisal and Sylhet yesterday.In Barisal, four idols were damaged at a Hindu temple located in the Maddhya Rajarchar area of Charmonai union before the dawn. Bijoy Krishna Haldar, president of Maddhya Rajarchar Durga-Kali Mandir, said he found the idols of Saraswati, Kartik and Ganesh partially damaged when he went to the temple early in the morning. Police were informed of the matter but no case was filed until yesterday evening.
