Lebanese and Gulf Nationals Transported Arms from Syria to Arsal
[An Nahar] Fourteen cars have entered the northeastern town of Arsal from Syria carrying suspects from Lebanese and Gulf nationalities in addition to arms and ammunition, As Safir daily reported on Thursday.The newspaper said that the 14 four-wheelers, which also transported huge sums of money, entered Arsal on February 8. But the suspects were given fake IDs and four vans were put at their disposal to transport them to the North, Beirut and the central Bekaa at dawn Tuesday, the report said. As Safir identified Abdul Rahman Aa., Ibrahim Ghadban D. Majed Fadel R., Abdul Malak Aa., and Assem Fahd M. among the suspects from the Gulf who infiltrated Leb. It is believed that the suspects would carry out bombings and liquidations under the leadership of a man known as al-Saree (fast in English) and then travel to Turkey.
