Strong fighting in Lower Shabelle
 This fight between the co-allied Government Forces and AMISOM soldiers against the Al-Shabaab occurred at a territory known as 'Jiidow' very near to Shalanbood in the Lower Shabelle region.According to locals, they described to Shabelle that heavy as well as light ammunition and arms were used during the fight. Witnesses say that the fight was ongoing for at least a few hours and that it caused both losses in terms of death and casualties although it hasn't been fully specified.
