7 die in Sonora state
 Seven men were shot to death and another four were wounded in an apparent ambush in northern Sonora state Tuesday night, according to Mexican news reports. An account which appeared in the online edition of Milenio news daily said that attack took place in Carborca Tuesday night in a remote location called Las Agujas. All seven were from Sinaloa state and all were in their 20s. The victims were said to be smuggling marijuana. According to the report a total of seven weapons magazines and 89 rounds of ammunition for AK-47 and AR-15 rifles were found in addition to a radio.
