10 Insurgents Killed in Logar
[Tolo News] At least ten Taliban turbans were killed in two separate incidents in eastern Pashtun-infested Logar province on Wednesday.The Media Office of the Afghan Public Protection Force (APPF) released a statement on Thursday announcing that hard boyz had launched an attack in the Charkh district of Pashtun-infested Logar on Wednesday, and four were killed after a fourteen-hour clash with APPF troops. Another six other turbans were killed in the Sulaiman Khil area of the province, when a jacket wallah accidentally detonated his explosives prematurely. Ahead of the upcoming presidential and provincial council elections, turbans have stepped-up violence around the country in an attempt to derail preparations and scare voters away from the polls.
