Shaboobs ambush Federal Govt troops in Bay
BAIDOA, Somalia -- Ten fighters from the opposing sides have been reported killed after Al Qaeda linked Al Shabaab terrorists militants ambushed the Somali federal government soldiers in armored vehicles along the main road leading to Bay regional district of Bur Hakab from Baidoa, Garowe Online reports.

Health officials at Baidoa General Hospital in southwestern Somalia on Thursday confirmed to GO that the bodies of four government soldiers were transferred to the hospital while the wounded are receiving medical treatment.
According to witnesses, the pre-planned attack on the military convoy triggered a heavy gun battle which left four soldiers and 6 terrorists militants dead. Al Shabaab fterrorists ighters are said to have used rocket propelled grenades for the ambush.
Somali government forces aided by African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) peacekeepers made an immediate reinforcement, pushing back Al Shabaab terrorists militants deeper into the crocodile-infested jungle.
A spokesman for Somali National Army (SNA) noted that the terrorists extremists accustomed to ambushes targeting government troops on Baidoa-Bur Hakaba highway. The beleaguered Al Shabaab terrorists didn't comment on the deadly incident as the military campaign by allied forces continues to gain momentum.
