Two railway bridges bombed in southern Thailand
Two bomb explosions damaged railway bridges in Narathiwat province early Wednesday, temporarily halting rail services.After the explosion at a bridge in Cho-airong district, local policemen rushed to the scene. An investigation found that the homemade bomb, built into a gas cylinder, weighed about 20 kilograms. The powerful blast damaged the railway bridge pier. Meanwhile, a bomb explosion in Ra-ngae district destroyed the railway bridge pier and some parts of the bridge. Fragments of a 50 kilogram bomb built into a gas cylinder were found scattered across the site.
