15-year-old killed in Golan Heights in cross-border attack from Syria
A 15-year-old boy was killed and two other people were injured in the Golan Heights Sunday in a cross-border attack from inside Syria that targeted a civilian vehicle carrying out routine maintenance work for the Defense Ministry.IDF tanks immediately returned fire across the border in response to what an army source said appeared to be a deliberate attack on the truck. One of those injured in the attack was in serious condition, while the other suffered light injuries. The teenage boy killed in the attack is believed to have accompanied his father to work. Following the attack, an army source said it found what appeared to be a hole in the frontier fence.
