District Police Chief Killed in Herat
[Tolo News] District Police Chief of Farsi district of western Herat...a venerable old Persian-speaking city in western Afghanistan, populated mostly by Tadjiks, which is why it's not as blood-soaked as areas controlled by Pashtuns... province and four other coppers were killed in a Taliban rocket attack early Monday, local officials. One other policeman was injured in the attack. The incident took place in Qaleen Bafa area, while the Police Chief, Shir Ahmad, was on his way to his office when the Taliban hard boyz targeted his vehicle, said Sami Wafa, Head of Herat Governor Office.
