South Korea and US begin joint naval drill as angry North protests
[Iraq Sun] Two separate drills began simultaneously in the East Sea, also known as Sea of Japan, and off the southern port of Mokpo
The joint maritime drills involve the USS George Washington, an 88,000-ton nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, which is loaded with about 70 aircraft.
North Korea has termed the joint drill "another challenge" against its recent efforts to try to ease relations with the South.
