Five soldiers killed in attack on Jamrud check-post
[DAWN] Heavily-armed Lions of Islam attacked a paramilitary check-post in Jamrud area of Khyber tribal agency early Friday, killing at least five security personnel, official sources said.Sources said more than a dozen Lions of Islam attacked a Frontier Corps patrolling party and check-post in Gundi area of Jamrud, followed by a grueling gun-battle which continued over two hours. At least five soldiers were killed and six others injured in the attack, the sources said. A vehicle of the FC forces was also destroyed in the attack.
