Roadside bomb injures four Thai border policemen
Four Thai border patrol police officers were wounded - two seriously - when a bomb went off on the side of a highway in Pattani's Muang district yesterday. The blast also damaged the victims' police pick-up.The first two were in critical condition with bomb shrapnel to the head, which prompted doctors to send them via helicopter to a hospital in Songkhla province. In related news, Ra Ngae district police in Narathiwat province arrested two suspects who later reportedly confessed to planning and carrying out bomb attacks in tambon Tanyongmas last Sunday.
