Battles erupt in Mogadishu
Multiple blasts and battles broke out last night in several of Mogadishu's districts which was resulted to have caused severe fatalities.The clashes erupted in the SOS, Carafad, Ceymiska, Ex-Kontarol, Suuqa Xoolaha and Gubta neighborhoods in the Yaqshid, Heliwa and Daynile districts in the Benadir region. Al-Shabaab was alleged to have attacked government soldiers in the districts. Furthermore, armed assailants were reported to have used IED bombs to target government troops in the Gubta neighborhood of the Daynile district. There has been no precise specification on the numbers of casualties and losses that occurred as a result of the fighting last night in 3 of Mogadishu's districts. Posted by: Steve White 2014-07-28 |
