Libya: Abushagur freed
[Libya Herald] Mustafa Abushagur has been sprung. His family and friends confirmed the overnight release, which took place at around 3 am. He was unharmed and no ransom was paid.

The former deputy prime minister and now House of Representative member for Suq Al-Juma himself tweeted early this morning that he had been let go.

"Alhamdulillah I am home safe. I would like to thank all who helped in my release. May Allah protect Libya", he wrote in Arabic and English around dawn.

He was seized outside his home yesterday.

He has not yet said who took him.
