Six suspected militants, three Yemen troops killed in clashes

Authorities in the city said they had prevented three suicide car kabooms against an official residence, a police barracks and another police site. The defense ministry said it had "thwarted a dangerous criminal plan by Al-Qaeda" in Mukalla. On Saturday night, gunnies riding motor bikes shot and killed two Yemeni men in separate attacks in the southern province of Lahij, a security source said on Sunday, blaming Al-Qaeda for the murders.
