Bouteflika calls for Algeria to support neighbours

He'll likely die in office of old age... used the occasion of National Day of Mujahid to highlight the country's commitment to its neighbours, Liberte reported on Thursday (August 21st). "The security of our country depends on the stability of the neighbourhood," the president said in a statement read on his behalf in Skikda. Algeria "has suffered the ravages of terrorism and suffered considerable human and material losses. We succeeded thanks to the will and determination of our people to restore peace and serenity, and made sustained efforts⦠to respond to the needs and aspirations of citizens, especially young people", the presidential statement added.
