57 Taliban Insurgents Killed in Faryab Clash
 [Tolo News] Fifty-seven Taliban turbans including their commanders were killed in festivities in northern Faryab province in the past week that also claimed the lives of five Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) soldiers and injured eight others, local officials said on Tuesday. The festivities started when hundreds of turbans attacked the districts of Qaisar and Ghormach last week, which according to Faryab Governor Mohammadullah Batash is still ongoing adding that the responsibility lies with the released Taliban prisoners. According to Batash, additional security forces have been deployed to the province to continue the ANSF operations. Clashes in Faryab follow the recent insecurities in Kunduz, Kunar, Helmand ...an Afghan province populated mostly by Pashtuns, adjacent to Injun country in Pak Balochistan... and Nangarhar The unfortunate Afghan province located adjacent to Mohmand, Kurram, and Khyber Agencies. The capital is Jalalabad. The province was the fief of Younus Khalis after the Soviets departed and one of his sons is the current provincial Taliban commander.
