One Police Killed, Eight Including Civilians Injured in Baghlan Blast
[Tolo News] At least one policeman was killed and eight others including another policeman were maimed in a kaboom in northern Baghlan province early Monday, local officials said.
According to a front man for the provincial police chief, Jawid Basharat, the blast took place in Baghlan-e-Markazi district of the province that claimed the life of a policeman and maimed another officer and seven students.
Basharat added that the victims have been taken to a nearby hospital and police investigation is underway.
No group has grabbed credit for the blast yet.
Insurgents often use improvised bombs (IEDs) to target the Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF), causing a higher rate of civilian casualties.
