Attacks in Damascus, Hama, Homs Leave 3 Killed, 23 Injured
[ABNA.IR] Three non-combatants were killed and twenty-three others were maimed by terrorists' mortar shells that targeted several provinces on Wednesday, state-run SANA news agency reported.

A civilian was killed and four others were maimed in terrorist mortar attacks which targeted residential neighborhoods in Damascus city.

SANA news hound quoted a Damascus Police Command source as saying that a mortar round fired by gunnies fell near al-Shallal roundabout in al-Mazra'a neighborhood, claiming the life of one civilian and injuring another, in addition to causing material damage to a number of cars.

The source added that three civilians were maimed by mortar shells that hit al-Adawi area. The shells also caused material damage to two buildings and a number of nearby cars and vehicles.

Several other cars and a number of shops were also damaged as other mortar shells landed in the areas of al-Sebki in al-Sha'lan neighborhood and in Bab Sharqi, the source added.

In the central province of Hama, two civilians, including a woman, were killed and another was injured in terrorist rocket attack on Mhardeh city in the countryside.

A source in Hama Police Command told SANA news hound that gunnies targeted Mhardeh city with four rocket shells that hit the western neighborhood, killing two civilians, one of them a woman, and injuring another, in addition to causing material damage to the citizens' houses and properties.

Terrorists fired a number of rocket shells on several neighborhoods in the city of the central province of Homs, leaving 18 civilians injured, according to a source at Homs Police Command.

The source told SANA news hound that the rocket shells hit al-Walid suburb and Wadi al-Dahab neighborhood, wounding 18 civilians, in addition to causing material damage in the areas where the shells landed.

On Tuesday, 7 civilians were maimed in terrorist rocket and mortar attacks on Wadi al-Dahab and Ekrema neighborhoods and al-Walid suburb in Homs city.

NGO: Nearly 50 dead in Syria air strikes on central province

At least 48 people including rebel fighters have been killed in Syrian government air bombardments around a town in the central province of Homs, a monitoring group said on Wednesday.

Two days of air strikes left women and children among the dead, including a mother who was killed along with five of her children, said the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, which monitors violence in Syria through a network of sources.
