Insurgents Attack Friday Market in Herat
[Tolo News] A group of turbans attacked a Friday market in Herat...a venerable old Persian-speaking city in western Afghanistan, populated mostly by Tadjiks, which is why it's not as blood-soaked as areas controlled by Pashtuns... 's Shindand district early Friday morning. The market targeted is located near Herat's airport. There are no official reports on the number of casualties, but a security official who spoke on the condition of anonymity said that two Afghan military officers and civilian were killed and another civilian was injured in the attack.
