De Blasio blows off DAs while meeting with Sharpton
[NYPOST] The city's five district attorneys have been desperately trying to get a sit down with Mayor de Blasio since March but hizzoner has blown them off while holding multiple meetings with civil rights hustler Al Sharpton...Tawana Brawley's spiritual advisor... , The Post has learned. Bronx District Attorney Robert Johnson sent an email to the mayor's office on behalf of the group and urged him to meet with them to discuss issues related to their budgets and public safety, according to sources. "I ask that, at your convenience, you meet with me and my colleagues from Queens, Staten Island, Manhattan and Brooklyn," reads the email sent from Johnson on March 11. "We feel that we are an important part of the City's efforts to provide public safety." The mayor's office responded with an automatic reply from de Blasio's director of scheduling that said it would take "approximately two weeks" to process the request. A front man for mayor said that a meeting would be set and that City Hall has increased the district attorneys' budgets drastically for the next four years. "The mayor looks forward to meeting with the five DAs," front man Phil Walzak said. "A meeting with Mayor de Blasio and all five District Attorneys will be scheduled for the near future."
