Tribal leader killed in Balochistan
[DAWN] QUETTA: Armed Lions of Islam killed a tribal leader in Balochistan ...the Pak province bordering Kandahar and Uruzgun provinces in Afghanistan and Sistan Baluchistan in Iran. Its native Baloch propulation is being displaced by Pashtuns and Punjabis and they aren't happy about it... 's Noshki district on Monday. Levies sources said Lions of Islam on a cycle of violence shot up Sardarzada Wali Khan Mengal and killed him on the spot. The incident happened on the Jinnah Road area of Noshki, Balochistan's district bordering with Afghanistan. Levies sources added that the assailants sped away on their cycle of violence after the strike. Police, Levies and personnel of other law enforcement agencies reached the spot as investigation into the incident went underway. Shopkeepers pulled down their shutters soon after the firing incident which caused panic in the city. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the killing. The dear departed had high influence in the district of Noshki. He belonged to one of the largest tribes in Balochistan -- the Mengals.
