Explosion in Baghlan, Casualties Feared
[Tolo News] According to initial report, at least 20 people have been injured in a kaboom in Baghlan-e-Markazi district of northern Baghlan province.Three children and two coppers are said to be among the people injured as a result of a mine kaboom that took place in a Buzkashi (goat dragging) match attended by hundreds of people; further details to follow. Last year in 2013, many people were killed and maimed in a suicide kaboom in a Buzkashi match in northern Kunduz. Buzkashi is one of the ancient games played in Afghanistan in which a headless carcass is placed in the center of a circle and surrounded by the players of two opposing teams.
