Islamic State has no existence in Pakistan: Nisar
RAWALPINDI -- Minister for Interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali said on Saturday that there was no existence of Islamic State militant group in Pakistan.
He could say all that and keep his lips on -- he's a diplomat and they have special training...
Speaking to journalists here, he said that wall chalking being witnessed in some cities regarding Islamic State was not a big thing in Pakistan. He urged the political parties to refrain from making statements on Islamic State, saying that such moves were not in Pakistan's interests.

Nisar was of the view that statements were being issued about the Islamic State only to undermine the government. "Pakistan is not a weak state," he contended. About Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's plan to state a massive rally in Islamabad on November 30, he said the government had no objection if the PTI complied with the law.

"As the interior minister, it is my responsibility to ensure that no road is blocked in Islamabad," Nisar said. "We have imposed no restrictions regarding the November 30 rally. Law is very clear about any political activity," he said. "If the PTI holds a rally in Islamabad, it will be according to the law and the constitution," he added.
