Near tie among leaders in Tunisia polls
Tunisia's incumbent President Moncef Marzouki is neck and neck with Beji Caid Essebsi in Sunday's presidential election and a runoff is now expected, Marzouki's campaign manager said."At the worst we are even but at best we're between two and four per cent ahead," Marzouki's campaign manager Adnene Mancer told reporters after polling stations closed on Sunday. "Our chances are good as we go into a runoff," he said, after the rival camp announced that Essebsi had come top in the North African nation's first free presidential polls.
