MILF to begin turning over weapons next month
 The Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), once the largest rebel group in the southern Philippines, will begin turning over its weapons next month, the head of the government peace commission said.The front will hand over 75 heavy machine guns, rocket launchers, mortars and assault rifles to an international body, Professor Miriam Coronel-Ferrer said. She added that six camps used by MILF will be developed into other facilities The international decommissioning team, led by Turkish diplomat Haydar Berk, will play a key role in accepting the weapons.
