Anbar police repels ISIS attack north of Ramadi
[IraqiNews.com] On Tuesday, police chief of Anbar province Maj. Gen. Mohammed Kazem Fahdawi announced, that the security forces was able to repel an ISIS attack on al-Boricha area north of Ramadi, while a security source stated that the organization blew up the cop shoppe in that area.

Fahdawi said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, ?A force of the police backed with the tribal fighters were able to repel an ISIS attack on al-Boricha area north of Ramadi, which led to festivities that incurred the terrorist organization great losses in lives and equipment.?

Fahdawi added, ?Al-Boricha cop shoppe was transferred to a safer place as a result of exposure to repeated attacks by the terrorist organization ISIS,? pointing out that, ?Military reinforcements arrived have arrived in al-Boricha area. Confrontations and festivities against the terrorist organization are still ongoing in the north of the region.?

A security source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, ?Elements of the terrorist organization ISIS launched a major offensive on al-Boricha area and the cop shoppe.?

The source, who asked not to be named, added, ?The attack resulted in the withdrawal of police forces from the center, and the organization blew up the security center.?
