MI: Grand Haven Coast Guard incident investigated as 'domestic terrorism'
GRAND HAVEN, Mich. (WOOD)-- An attack at the Grand Haven Coast Guard station is being investigated as a case of domestic terrorism, according to police.Officers from the Grand Haven Department of Public Safety say a man crashed his truck through the gate at the Coast Guard station and assaulted U.S. Coast Guard personnel. The personnel suffered minor injuries in the attack. The incident happened at 6:07 a.m. Sunday. According to officials, the suspect broke into the station and said he had an explosive device in his truck. Coast Guard members were able to contain the man until Grand Haven Public Safety officers arrested him.
