Hadi must be restored as Yemen president: UN chief
[ARABNEWS] UN Secretary-General  the ephemeral Ban Ki-moon... of whom it can be said to his credit that he is not Kofi Annan... called on Sunday for the restoration of Yemeni President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi's authority after Houthi ...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The Yemeni government has accused the Houthis of having ties to the Iranian government, which wouldn't suprise most of us. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews... militia seized power. ... and when Ban Ki Moon speaks people listen... "The situation is very, very seriously deteriorating, with the Houthis taking power and making this government vacuum," Ban said, referring to the Shiite militia which dissolved the Sanaa regime and Parliament on Friday. "There must be restoration of legitimacy of President Hadi," the UN chief told news hounds after talks with King of the Arabians, Sheikh of the Burning Sands, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman ...either the largest species of Pacific salmon or the current Sheikh of the Burnin' Sands, Cutodian of the Two Holy Mosquesand Lord of Most of the Arabians.... .
