5 militants killed as Puntland forces attack terrorist hotbed
GALGALA, Somalia -- Puntland army troops killed five Al Shabaab militants in a raid on Madashon hotbed according to officials on Friday, Garowe Online reports. Sources within Puntland army told Garowe Online that a militant was also captured alive during the deadly assault on Madashon, 23km west of rugged terrain of Galgala where the north eastern state has been battling Al Shabaab fighters since mid-2010.Three Puntland soldiers died in the assault while seven others have been admitted to Bossaso General hospital for medical treatment.
