NPA militant nabbed in Compostela Valley
 [PhilStar] Philippine soldiers on patrol arrested a suspected communist militant in Compostela Valley. Troops from the 25th Infantry Battalion nabbed Eugenio Piamonte, also known as Nestor among his comrades, in Monkayo, Compostela Valley on Sunday afternoon. The military seized from Piamonte an assault rifle, 11 unexploded IEDs, 10 police uniforms with combat boots, 10 Army uniforms with 25 IB patches, and more.As of Monday, troops have recovered 18 unexploded IEDs in Eastern Mindanao, eight of which were planted by the New People's Army along roads in populated areas since the end of March.
