Village chief gunned down in southern Thailand
[Bangkok Post] A village chief was gunned down in Narathiwat province early on Monday. The attack occurred shortly before 6 a.m. in Sisakhon district. Uma Dueramae, 50, chief of tambon Choeng Khiri, was returning home on foot from a village mosque after prayers when a motorcycle passed him and the pillion rider fired two shots at him.
