Brothers gunned down in southern Thailand
[The Nation] A schoolteacher and his older brother were gunned down on Saturday night in Narathiwat province. The pair were riding bicycles when two men on a motorcycle shot them. Officials suspect the attack was part of the regional insurgency. School director Isma-ae E-tae said the attackers may have been observing the brothers' evening routine of cycling before the incident. In related events, a former paramilitary ranger volunteer was shot and killed yesterday morning while traveling in his sedan in Bacho district in Narathiwat.
