Arms seized in Kohat, two held
[DAWN] KOHAT: Local police on Tuesday foiled an attempt to smuggle huge quantity of arms and ammunition from the gun manufacturing town of Darra Adamkhel to Lahore.

Officials said that a police party was snap checking the vehicles on the Rawalpindi road near Ghulam Banda railway crossing when it stopped a truck (K-9842). During search of the vehicle the police recovered four Kalashnikovs, three repeaters, three rifles, 40 pistols, 50 chargers and 85,000 cartridges.

Asim Iqbal, a resident of Lachi tehsil of Kohat, and Waseem Ahmed Afridi belonging to Darra Adamkhel. Paperwork was started but nothing else was done against them in Bilitang cop shoppe and investigations began.
