Iraqi army claims to capture hundreds of IEDs north of Baghdad
[Rudaw] The Baghdad Operations command announced on Tuesday its soldiers had killed three ISIS snuffies and captured 151 improvised bombs (IEDs) north of Baghdad."The Iraqi army's 54th Brigade captured a boom-mobile and munitions factory as well as 151 improvised bombs," said the command in a statement. "In the area of Albu Sauda, Iraqi security forces fought off an ISIS assault killing two snuffies and wounding another," the statement added. Also claimed in the statement, the Iraqi army successfully carried out a military campaign to hunt down three wanted snuffies and destroy their vehicles. An Iraqi army quick reaction force (QRF) destroyed an ISIS bomb-rigged bulldozer in the area of Maarz in western Baghdad and defused 17 landmines in the area, also according to the statement.
