Æthiopian Forces Cross Border Into Somalia
GARBAHAREY -- A large number of Ethiopian heavily armed soldiers have reportedly crossed along its border with Somalia, a bid to launch deadly counter-offensives on held Al Shabab areas in south of Somalia.The Ethiopian troops will move to Gedo and Bokol region where its forces based and will launch several operations to push the militants out of Bardhere and Dinsoor cities, key towns for Al Shabab insurgents, sources have told Shaballe in Mogadishu. Hundreds of local residents have expressed deep concerns on the forces’ arrivals, with some residents told Shabelle Meda, they had started fleeing from the town in fear of deadly battle between Ethiopian and Al Shabab. The Ethiopian troops serving under African Union Mission for Somalia (AMISOM) forces battling Al Qaeda linked Al Shabab militants in the past 5 years in south and central Somalia.
