Parliament speaker okays Iraq's 'bloodless partition'
[RUDAW.NET] Iraq's speaker of parliament said on Friday that he won't oppose a "bloodless partition" of Iraq so long as the general public give their consent to the issue."We don't have problems with the partition of Iraq if it is by consent and without blood," Speaker of Parliament Salim al-Jibouri said. "The public should also agree with any call for the partition of Iraq." Jibouri, a Sunni, has recently called for more authority for the Sunni areas of Iraq and has lobbied the United States to arm the Sunni tribal fighters facing the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference.
