2 killed by AU soldiers in south Somalia
MARKA, Somalia -- The African Union Mission for Somalia (AMISOM) forces have killed at least 2 civilian people and injured four others in Marka town, lies 109 km south-west of Mogadishu, residents said.The incident happened after unknown gunmen hurled hand grenade explosions into AMISOM peacekeepers’ base in the town. The AU soldiers opened fire on civilians in response to the bomb attack. Hundreds of local residents took to the streets in Marka town, capital of lower Shabelle region, to protest against AMISOM troops following killings, witnesses told Shabelle Media based in Mogadishu.
