JJ strikes again-released more than 30,000 criminal illegal immigrants

But Johnson resisted, telling the House Judiciary Committee that forcing local authorities to comply with federal requests to detain an undocumented Democrat for deportation would be a "huge setback." He said roughly 12,000 federal detainer requests last year were ignored, but the B.O. regime remains committed to a new program in which federal officials ask local authorities for assurance that requests will be honored.
